Blake Wisner, Hubstcy – Moodlighting | Pop-EDM

Following the successful release of his 2021 debut single “OTW”, Las Vegas-based artist Blake Wisner is back with his first single of the year “Moodlighting”. Known for his alternative/RnB-inspired melodic pop sound, the artist delivers energetic performances with intricate lyricism. Blake has collaborated with Alabama-based producer, Hubstcy on his latest release which features upbeat rhythms, catchy melodies and colourful synths.

The track begins with some natural ambience that surrounds a warm pad to introduce Blake’s vocals. His reverb-drenched melodies float over an array of synth arpeggios and lush pads that fill up the rich soundscape; an exquisite intro for what’s to come! With a powerful synth-based drop, the songs hard-hitting groove becomes the centre of attention and will surely have you moving!

What’s great about the chorus is the thick bass that works brilliantly with the drums/percussion. Additionally, a bunch of filler elements and the right elements of ear candy make the track a pleasure to listen to. Smooth transitions and addictive melodies further enhance the ‘head-banging’ vibe of the track. As it progresses, the artists play around with dynamic verses and some bright instrumentation prior to the final drop; a satisfying end to the about three-minute-long track.

Hubstcy’s insane production skills along with Blake’s poetic lyricism combine extravagantly on “Moodlighting”. All this paired with a super-tight mix makes this artist one to look out for in the near future! The eclectic mix of multiple genres fused into a pop-like structure show that the producers know what they are doing, and I’m sure the fans are eager to hear more soon!
