Dollflesh return with more industrial metal in their latest single, “Zero”

Dollflesh are here to reverberate a genre that garnered immense power. Continuously expanding their sound library, they create a charge with their music that cannot be contained. By the likes of Rammstein, Marilyn Manson & projects like Nine Inch Nails-this is a deep dive into the electro-industrial sound with contemporary ideas. Their latest songs packs a punch and a whole lot more. This one is called Zero

Having already released DJ Big Toxic & White Noise, it’s important to hear what depth the artist brings. Zero begins with an electronic beat that might misguide you into sounding like new wave. It might be the base canvas of projects like The Cure or Joy Division. The distorted metal guitar tone enters like a lightning strike. It pummels through this beat that has played itself,  and now your focus is on this djent chugging that is muted. With the vocals, there is an electro lead level that messes with your mind.

Powering a new gen of metal

When the chorus attacks you, you can’t help but head bang. Textures on the drums make sure there’s a lot of change in how this beat is being heard. Dollflesh are high voltage, and the static can be felt through the platform as well. The masked marauders have brought a feel to this song that will remind you of anonymous projects that used to shake up radio play. This is not for fame, for what the song does to the artist’s personality. You’re here to rock out, and rock out well.

If you listen to tracks like White Noise, you know that they love to experiment with tonality and the general power they’re able to generate. Though Zero begins with a machine generated opening, they unleash metal very quickly. This is music that aims to disturb, make you think and look beyond manufactured art. This is art coming from those who mean to make it.
