Bandland 2026 cancelled as headliners Muse pull out

The music scene in Bangalore felt a sudden vacuum as Bandland 2026, slated for Feb. 14 and 15 was cancelled. This is the third edition of the event, the first 2 seeing great footfall and revelry in the silicon capital of the country. Reportedly, the show has been cancelled, as headliners Muse pulled out, citing unforeseen circumstances.

Attached below is the official statement from the organisers themselves:

Ticketholders will be eligible for a full refund. The co-headliners were Train, metal act Karnivool and Indian metal gems Scribe as well. Rather than postpone the festival and look for filler acts in such short notice, Bandland have decided to cancel the event altogether.

This comes after a slew of live events being cancelled all over the country. Though there is speculation on the reasons, tours and live events have too many moving parts. It could range from artist management, venue permissions, travel and customs restrictions and so many more.

This FOMO vacuum of such a large scale is something you might not be able to fill. However, we do have gigs in the newly reopened Humming Tree in Indiranagar all January and February. If you were travelling to Bangalore, it might be wise to cancel tickets. Localities, head to other venues and make sure you get your dose of live music!
