Sax meets Indie with Five Door Sedan’s latest single “Darlin’ You”

If you’re a fan of indie rock and catchy pop music, you need to check out Five Door Sedan‘s latest single, “Darlin’ You“. This Charleston-based band has taken the best elements of psychedelic rock and infused it with modern pop sensibilities to create a sound that is entirely their own.

“Darlin’ You” kicks off with funky guitar riffs and smoky vocals that draw you in from the very first note. From there, the song takes on a modern R&B soul pop sound that will have you swaying your head to the beautiful chorus. This track is a smoky pop song that will remind you of the best soul and R&B based love songs of the days of yore.

At the core of Five Door Sedan’s musicality are their tight rhythms and solid arrangements. They’ve taken their five-member band, formerly known as Dacota Muckey and The Trip, and added a sultry saxophone and layers of melodic synths to create a unique twist on the indie rock genre. And it works beautifully.

The lifeforce of the verses is the catchy guitar riff coupled with catchy melody lines that will have you humming along for days. And when the chorus hits, it sweeps you away with a strong sense of emotion and positive energy. The apt production used to achieve the same is top-notch, and the drumming on the song needs to be noted as well, as it propels the right dynamics of the song.

But the real star of the show is the saxophone solo coupled with the vocal harmonies that come in towards the end of the song. It’s the icing on the cake of this amazing track and leaves you wanting more.

If you’re a fan of Maroon 5, The Chainsmokers, Charlie Puth, or Marvin Gaye, Five Door Sedan’s sound will be right up your alley. And “Darlin’ You” is the perfect introduction to this talented band that is poised for big things. Don’t miss out on this one!
