R. F. Coleman – Crazy For You | Indie Hook

Crazy For You is the latest release from Australian indie pop artist and singer R. F. Coleman. Coleman who is a prolific artist in terms of creative direction, journalism, movie making, photography, and writing. He has worked with the likes of Canon, The New York Post, Guardian, and VICE. With his debut single I Couldn’t Trust, he made a mark as a musician as well. After his zesty musical debut with I Couldn’t Trust, Coleman returns to cement his musical style. A modern renaissance man. The music video fits perfectly with the style and aura of the music of R. F. Coleman.

The song manages to get you hooked to it in under three minutes. Crazy For You begins with horn licks, synth lines, and steady percussions. As the vocals enter, the bass line becomes prominent with the beat. The chorus enters in with some neat vocal layering and the right amount of licks and riffs. The song reminds one of a good mix of the music of The Black Keys and Arctic Keys. Joshua Moriarty of the bands Miami Horror and Telenova acts as producer on the track.

In comparison to the more alternative pop feel in I Couldn’t Trust, we get a more indie rock number here. Crazy For You features a quirky and cool music video in collaboration with internet persona Brick Grandpa from Korea. With some fun dance moves and performances, Brick Grandpa rocks the music on this one. With Crazy For You, R. F. Coleman has a tight foot tapping indie number in his ever expanding discography.
