Faint On Call-Harpoon | Reel it in

Sometimes I’m confident enough to say no kind of song can surprise me, might have heard every style. Faint On Call exist to debunk stupid claims like this. Their music range is so wide and crystal clear in vision, what they bring is nothing less than a cassette tape fit with explosives. As of now, you’re in for a treat with their latest single, Harpoon.

When I heard Freya by The Sword for the first time, I said to myself, “Damn. I wish I had written that riff.” It has happened once more after that, and that’s the sludge laden lofty riff for this song. If you assumed you’re going to headbang your way through this track, better think again. Faint On Call drop the scheme to a slower, appealing, near acoustic verse section. As we build to the peak that is the edifice of the rock section that we want to hear, they treat you to some more riffage, as a gift. Consider this a present for the present that you’d never wished for, but you got. The dynamic alteration between the verse and chorus riff is insanely fun to anticipate, and that’s what rock is about.

If you want more of this band, unfortunately, all you have is this and Pearl. Fortunately for us, they’re just getting started, so we have a lot of treats to anticipate down the road. This is a unique attempt at creating craving, cacophonous joy with music. Listen to Faint On Call here:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
