OJ Mountain is a hip-hop artist and a saxophonist who is from Boston and is currently based in Philadelphia where he creates music. Being a saxophonist, he weaves saxophone riffs into his tracks with beauty and melodicity. His unique way of blending the 90’s feel into his music is what makes him so special. He weaves music that vividly paints pictures that are so profound that you will feel like you were there. He spits lyrics that is so intricately written that you will have to read it word by word to decode all his wordplays.
I came across this artist through his latest release which is named ‘Sweaters’ which is just the kind of rap I love and cherish. This track is a storytelling rap that will make you feel a part of it. The way this artist writes his tracks is beautiful. His subtle blending of his saxophone bits into the track is what adds the sauce to this track. His vocals are crystal clear and sound amazing. His rhymes are exquisite and written to incur the most impact. The chorus is catchy and melodic enough to make me fall in love with his musicality. The instrumental has some amazing musical elements that come in at unusual times yet leave a pretty good impact. This is surely a track that anyone who loves hip-hop will love. Do give this track a go and trust me you will find yourself begging for more soon enough. This is truly a work of art!
