The dreamy, comforting synths paired with the silky vocals are sure to leave you feeling calm and content. “Chasing” is a gorgeous slice of dream pop that’s sure to get stuck in your head. The opener starts off pretty simplistic, but keep your ear out for some subtle basslines that pair perfectly with the dreamy synths. As the song progresses, you’ll be singing along (or perhaps crooning) to this top-notch bop. Despite its simplicity, “Chasing” is an incredibly well-produced track. Ian has a sweet and charming voice that sounds like it belongs in a fairy tale. I particularly love the atmospheric vocal background – it perfectly complements Ian’s emotive voice. If you’re looking for a song to help you relax and drift off into a peaceful sleep, look no further than “Chasing.” Simply close your eyes and let the music wash over you… you’ll be in dreamland before you know it! It’s hard to believe this is Ian’s debut song because it’s so elegant and smooth. I am excited to see what he has in store for us next.
