Blueprint Tokyo – Say Anything | Arresting

When it comes to making a fresh start, Blueprint Tokyo knows a thing or two. The Oklahoma City-based band made up of Kevin Dawson and Andrew Hale, changed course after Dawson’s health issues made it impossible for him to keep performing. But they’ve quickly made a name for themselves with their catchy hooks, ethereal sounds, and unexpectedly upbeat lyrics, thanks to their new tracks. These songs have been praised as “intense, delicate, and driving with 80’s influenced indie rock dreaminess.” Blueprint Tokyo is a band that you don’t want to miss out on!

In their new single, “Say Anything,” they bring together driving drum beats, emotive vocals a retro-tinged guitar solo with a haunting yet captivating vibe that will have you tapping your feet and singing along in no time. The song starts with amazing beats and powerful and dynamic vocals. The drumming made me groove right away, the vocals are so emotive, and the high variations took me by surprise. The electronic guitar that intensifies halfway through the song just adds more beauty to the song. When you listen to it again, you will hear subtle variations in pitch and harmonies, bursting with unexpected synths and rhythms, coming naturally as part of the overall structure that makes this song stand out. “Say Anything” also has a vintage ambiance that takes you back to the 70s-80s era. When I heard this song, I was blown away by its energy and how it captured my attention right away from the first note. So the next time you are looking for a new jam to blast on your commute, “Say Anything” has to be your choice!
