MARQ ELECTRONICA – BOY

North- England-based electronic and funk artist, Marq Electronica has released a new single, Boy that delves into the craze of self-destructive tendencies and explores its spirals with delicious synths. The artist has an impressionistic style and is not afraid to experiment. He marries traditional instruments with electronica to build or construct a specific feeling or emotion. A staunch believer in the feeling behind the art, the artist crafts melodies that take us on emotional journeys.

Feel-good, elating synth melodies with flourishing hooks open the song. The fresh and cool synths are lined with fuzzy bass beats that have us bobbing our way through them. Husky baritone vocals filter through the synths and emerge with a unforced grace and passion.

We can also hear faint wisps of singular synths drifting behind the shine of the mainstream of melodies. The infectious melodies tumble through the song and maintain the energy of the song. The streaming synths sustain and feed us with a growing euphoria. Buoyant and glistening, the vocals float to the surface and sail through the synths magnificently.

Despite being mellow, the vocals spread and open up masterfully and give the blustering beats and synths a purpose. With funk blends seeping into the electronica, the artist navigates the spiraling chaos of self-destructive tendencies and checks it with his sassy vocal delivery. The synths simulate an intense tunnel vision as the ghost of reason manifests through the vocals.
