Ario is a Persian-Canadian rapper and producer who’s been making waves in the underground rap scene in central Canada since 2015. He’s an eclectic songwriter who has been constantly putting out music for almost a decade and is best-known for his tracks like “Balmain Drip” and “Perfect”. He recently came out with his third track of the year titled “2f” – a hard-hitting rap song that delivers an empowering message. Ario’s confident verses shine through a super-clean mix on this top-notch production.
The track begins with a melancholic guitar sample that plays among warm tones, among reverby vocals and other things. Right off the bat, Ario’s raw vocals grab your attention as he delivers his verse. “I don’t give 2 fucks, oh my F’s a Fendi / Runnin’ through my ends when it gets so empty / Nights like this I miss your energy / Life’s a bitch I kiss it gently”. Ario narrates a heartfelt story from his perspective and talks about loss, life and everything in between. He talks about how he’s seen better days in the past and how that’s moulded him to be the person he is today. He raps playful cadences and has a tight flow throughout the track, showcasing his authentic style brilliantly.
There’s no doubt that Ario is a wordsmith who knows exactly how to carry hard-hitting lines and melodies, as he does so with such ease on this track. The fact that he’s a versatile rapper who excels at both the studio and on the stage shows that he’s one of those artists to look out for. It’s only a matter of time before Ario starts headlining hip-hop concerts and festivals if you ask me! I’m sure his fans are eager to hear more from him in the near future as he continues to establish himself as one of Canada’s foremost rappers.
