Jennifer Alvarado – Catfish | Americana Rooted Rock Fire

Vale, North Carolina native, Country, Pop, and Christian music singer-songwriter Jennifer Alvarado has a fiery new song up her sleeve titled Catfish. Blending the best of pop, blues, and country, Jennifer has carved a unique space for herself. She has been recognized by the Nashville Songwriters Association. Her songs have been contenders in the pop and modern country categories for Spring and Summer 2021 World Songwriting Awards.

Catfish is a dazzling rock song with some spicy banjo sprinkling to add a nice textural twist. The break before the chorus comes in is well-placed. It succeeds at building anticipation and energy for the catchy chorus. The song deals with the awful internet phenomenon of luring someone into a relationship by means of a fictional online persona. More specifically, the nature of relationships being on flimsy and not genuine grounds for temporary hookups, Reflecting the apt emotions in her vocals with tight production and arrangement, we get a song that sculpts sentiments out of air.

Being named 2021 Country Artist of the Year” by Indie Star Radio, Jennifer Alvarado is at the top of her game. Jennifer is currently working on the second volume of her Songbird series which will be released in Winter 2022. Catfish is the second release from the upcoming record. Jennifer Alvarado is able to spin astute expressions with her songwriting and performance. The veneer of Americana over a pop rock song makes the song accessible while still rooted in the folk tradition of Americana music. Jennifer Alvarado, a force to be reckoned with.
