Emma Miller – Meet Me On The Lake | A Cosmic Lament

Pop-folk artist hailing from Scotland, Emma Miller has dropped another one of her enamoring singles, Meet Me On The Lake which takes us on a transfixing journey of loss that will have us weeping for a quaint sadness. Since moving to London in 2014, the artist acquired 1st class degree in songwriting and has even garnered the support of BBC6 Music, and BBC Radio Scotland. She has even featured in Wonderland, Clash, and 405.

The soft synths flowing through the track are reminiscent of the sounds of mountains; fresh, liberating, and majestically lonely. As emotive as the piano, the synths percolate through the track’s canvass and leak into us. The enchanting vocals drips with a concentrated agony as the singer summons a lost darling to meet her on the lake, to meet her like the wind meet the rain, to meet her at their favorite spot.

Heart-wrenching, the track is loaded with harmonies that dissolve into the fabric of the cosmos and twinkle like stars. It’s one of those tracks that truly alters you inexplicably and incomprehensibly. You can almost imagine the track, by virtue of its purity and sheer beauty, piercing through to the other side; to the afterlife, and invoking the darling it’s lamenting about.

The song happens to be the artist’s first-ever music NFT. It marks the first of many collections that the artist has lined up for release. The limited 10 Music NFTs sold out within 48 hours of release. This secured Miller the No. 11 place on the NFT Music charts where she surpassed Snoop Dog! You can buy all 11 of Miller’s releases on Bandcamp!

Available on Spotify, Amazon Music , and YouTube Music!
