Cold Fame is an electronic indie pop 3 piece band which is taking over the Canada’s scene by storm with their unique musicality. Damian Anthony and Cody Dalman formed the band in 2021 as a collaborative recording project during the pandemic which led to the addition of the third band member Jodi Pederson who joined the band in 2022. The trio is known for its vivid musical abilities which are smoothly blended into deep lyrics, engineered to hit just the right spots. With a vivid discography of 5 singles and an EP, the band is is set to release their debut EP in the beginning of 2023.
I recently came across one of their tracks named ‘If That’s Love’ which is a subtle intertwining of soothing, syncopated drums with deep vocals and mesmerizing melodies. The ambient feel is beautifully incorporated to the track making this track one of the most addictive one. The trio beautifully portrays it’s elite musicality and intense lyricism through this track. The chorus is addictively catchy and latches on to the head like bubblegum. The vocals are smooth and crystal clear which add a whole different feel to the track. The soothing melodies beautifully compliment the vibe of the track building the up-tone vibe of the track beat by beat. This is one of the tracks which will make you throw your hands in the air and dance like there’s no tomorrow.
