HARGO – From The Rooftops | Celebration Of Life

From The Rooftops by producer Hargo Khalsa aka HARGO, is a universal song that people from all backgrounds can appreciate and celebrate. HARGO was brought up as a Sikh in a yoga ashram in New Mexico that was situated next to a Native American reservation. The New Mexico-based singer-songwriter has written an anthem for better times, for people of all ethnicities and creeds to come together on his most recent indie folk song, From The Rooftops.

The track begins with lively percussion with a shining tone. This is accompanied by a spoken word intro about the earth and its uniqueness in being able to harbour life. Piano stabs with vocals pregnant with joy form the core of this track. The beat drops on the chorus with sitar drones as the primary harmonic component. There’s a warmth that comes with a video that features Hargo singing on a mountain and in the desert, along with a variety of diverse cultural experiences. The song is about having faith in a love that unites people, in the idea that cultural diversity is positive, and in our ability to coexist and prosper beside one another.

The song is propelled along by the bass, which is dominant, and the sitar gives it a global vibe. A tight production. We all require motivation and optimism in these times. From The Rooftops by HARGO exudes all of that vigour and brightness. The song combines global music and pop components with a new age basis to please any music enthusiast. Through its transcendent power, music unites the mind, body, and soul with all other living things. Beatles producer Phil Spector has termed him “a Young John Lennon”. Along with John Lennon, HARGO gives us a George Harrison feel with his spiritual background. From The Rooftops is a song to sping on repeat several times while reveling in its feel and message.
