Connor Terrones – The People We Love | Hypnosis

Connor Terrones is a Denver-based musician who is known for his exceptional hip-hop, jazz, fusion, R&B, and techno intertwining. His tracks dig deep into complex emotions through intricate musicality. Connor Terrones grew up listening to The Beatles and Motown music which has heavily influenced his musical taste. He later began to play guitar, studying the riffs by legends like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, etc. Over time his attention turned towards the funk, jazz and R&B. Being greatly inspired by such profound discographies, Connor Terrones is creating his own discography projecting his own style of funky RnB.

I recently came across his latest release which is called ‘The People We Love’ which is a complete masterpiece. Infusing various elements of RnB, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Techno, Connor has found out a way to create his own different genre which stands out of the crowd. This might just be one of the most ingenious albums I’ve heard in a while. The way he has carried each track has blown my mind away. Each track will pull you into a deeper trip to the unknown.

The first two tracks of the album can be considered as the intro which set the mood for the whole album. The first track is named ‘I Don’t Care’ and like the name suggests, is a track which will surely make you leave out all your worries and dance with joy. The second track of the album is ‘I Don’t Come Around’ which is one of my favorite tracks of the album. Each beat feels like a whole different realm. The hypnotic melodies caress the mind while the groovy riffs elevates your mind.

The next track on the album is ‘What Can I Do?’ which is a low paced groovy track. This track features 2 of the great artists named Julian Cary and Roy Matz who have given life to this track. This is one of the most experimental track in the whole album and a must listen for anyone who enjoys some good music.

The next three tracks are ‘Time’, ‘Prisoner’ and ‘Drown’ which are a perfect trio and place strategically to incur the maximum impact. Each track projects Connor’s unique sense of musicality which is profoundly embedded into his each track. The way he executes his tracks into such pieces of art is remarkably beautiful. The track ‘Prisoner’ completely flips the feel and takes you to a different zone merely through it’s complex melodies. The atmospheric feel will surely make make you loose your mind and flow into a deeper consciousness.

The last two tracks are the outro of the album and yet the most powerful tracks on the album. Both these tracks have features and are executed with utmost precision to be one of the best ends of the album. The seventh track, ‘Less Than Strangers’ will be up on my personal playlist for quiet a long time.

This is a perfect album to sit down, enjoy, contemplate your inner self and release all the toxicity inside. This album surely has powers to cleanse your mind and soul. Listen to ‘The People We Love’ by Connor Terrones-
