VALÈRE GÉRON- YOU DON’T WANT MY HEART

You Don’t Want My Heart by Valère Géron is the artist’s first single. Géron is a singer-songwriter from Holland, based in Sweden. With his EP, he illustrates his musical showmanship with dancing music and theatrical vocals.

The song has an upbeat rhythm set by catchy drum beats line with a bass guitar melody. The artist employs vintage vocals, melodies, harmonies and accents. We also see the pronounced use of iconic xylophone melody that peep through the verses and are unpacked wonderfully in the chorus.

The husky vocal texture further adds to the charm of the song. Adding a touch of spontaneity to the song, the vocals scatter with pleasant modulations and divide into harmonies. There are acapella melody tangents that stream through the song and melts into its layered canvass.

Resonant of Bob Marley, the artist uses folk elements to lend varied dimensions to the song. In addition to employing a touch of a Caribbean accent to the vocals, he also uses streaking flute melodies in the second chorus and later in the song. You Don’t Want My Heart is a must listen titillating pop-folk, infused with elements of modern jazz and rock grooves.
