Cush Wallace – Real Ones | Takeover

Cush Wallace is a Central L.A.-based rapper who is bringing a fresh, unique sound to West Coast Hip-Hop. Being a multi-instrumentalist, Cush Wallace writes, produces, and even engineers his own music. He is known for his sharp machete-like bars and smooth, groovy flow. Sharing stages with artists like Kendrick Lamar and E-40 proves his worth on being the next big thing out of the West Coast. He has also landed a spot on Apple music’s Hip-Hop chart and Thriller’s Top Trending Songs this year. His EP ‘DRICO II’ has gained mass appreciation among the rap listeners from which ‘Top Pick’ is my personal favorite.

His latest release is ‘Real Ones’ Which is one of his best works yet. The song starts off with heavy 808s putting you in a groove, ready for the bars to drop. The flows are innovative and the way Cush blends in different flows is exceptional. The trumpet loop is mesmerizing and the way the music carries his lyrics leaves me dumbstruck. I wouldn’t be lying if I said this song is one of the best rap tracks I’ve heard in 2022. The lyrics are on point and make you wanna hype to the song no matter where you are. The song is catchy and sticks to your brain putting you in a trace every time you hum to the song. The artist has portrayed how versatile his musicality is through the last couple of tracks. Each song is different from the last and each one is a masterpiece.

The song is a must listen if you look for heavy lyrics and some awesome music to groove to.
