Eric Lavoie is a singer and songwriter who passionately runs his musical undertaking called Cosmic River. Just as the name suggests, the hymns of the Cosmic River are soulful in nature, driving you closer to bliss. His music has been a rich mix of earthy blues and breathtaking folk that forms extremely joyful soundscapes that lure you into its own world.
Cosmic River is a diverse project and you would be able to tell that by listening to its songs. His recent track called Do You Know What Time It Is? is an experimental track that is bold and beautiful at the same time. It has intense gothic themes, eerie soundscapes, and a beautiful feel to it that makes it intensely enjoyable. It is quite iconic in terms of its music, simply because the theme is not an easy one to explore. The intense spookiness that the song seems to have almost intrinsically, is not an easy quality to imbibe and that’s one of the reasons why artists do not explore this genre. But here, you get a great eerie number with perfect proportions of eeriness, enjoyment, energy, and creativity!
The vocals in the track are quite intense, with a rough, heavy texture to it to increase the whole effect. The lyrics too, add to the whole spookiness. Overall, it is a great track with the perfect mix of everything. While being experimental, it is quite enjoyable and artistic at the same time.
