Dug the Grave is a banger that has amazing vocals that go perfectly with Yeoman’s style of electronic music production. This track show hows promising Yeoman’s talent and creativity is. Its not the usual run of the mill EDM that just has vocals and a drop. This time, Yeoman has used some very unusual sounds as leads and the overall effect chain on the vocal chain gives an amazing vibe.
Yeoman is a UK based producer and DJ and is rapidly climbing up the ladders with a very versatile style that ranges across Future Bass, Electropop and Chillwave. Harry Yeoman released his debut EP in 2020, which threw him in the spotlight. His track ‘Where I go’ was chosen as the soundtrack for a vlog by Kevin Langeree, who’s video gained upward of 100000 views. Kevin Langeree is a multiple ‘Red Bull King of the Air’ and world championship winning pro kite-surfer.
Dug the Grave has a very interesting introduction. The vocals are surreal and just lovely as usual. Slowly, percussions in the form of claps raise the tempo of the song. A foreboding feeling, when the horn like leads come in and are accompanied by some casual drums. The snare is subtle and not in your face, really nice effort on this. The lead for the drop is very unusual and interesting. The horn just transforms into some kind of modulating lead that seems to be nano synthesized with tiny fluctuations that make it really full and powerful!
Overall the track has a really interesting vibe and the unusual sounds make it even more interesting. I think the only thing keeping this genre exciting and not just a bunch of similar tunes is the fact that producers go out of the way to find unusual sounds to make you dance to. Yeoman has done just that and that too a really good job with it.
