Dream of a Man in a Top Hat – All Time Is Borrowed Time | Trippy

Dream of a Man in a Top Hat is a two-piece duo that consists of Lee Leffler (guitars, keyboards, vocals, lyrics) and Michael Frackleton (drums, bass, percussion, keyboards, vocals, lyrics). The duo used to jam it out with the 80s Post Punk band Native Tongue. With much experience and a taste for performing Leffler and Frackleton make inspired music. Initially, the two started off as an instrumental project but eventually added their own vocals to Dream of a Man in a Top Hat. Their music tends to bend the rules of genre definition and uses an eclectic approach.

Their latest single, All Time Is Borrowed Time, is a sharp, psychedelic track with a lot going on. You find yourself immersed in this experience that you can’t quite explain, but it’s groovy and fun. The distorted synth sounds like it’s got a load of fry on it which is interesting. Particularly, when you hear these other elements sound clear as day, but it’s all part of the magic. When you put all the elements together as well as Dream of a Man in a Top Hat has, it turns into a groovy psychedelic experience.

Dream of a Man in a Top Hat is, certainly, an experience for everyone to try once. The music is easy, laidback and moreover, smooth as heck. I’d check out the rest of their discography if I was you.

I listen to and make silly noises while analysing why people behave the way they do.
