Daniel Young – Water Table Line | Pure Folk

Daniel Young is a passionate musician from Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and drummer. Daniel has been recording and writing music for almost two decades, which shows how passionate he is about his art. His approach to songwriting is very classic and his songs reflect the vibes of old folk/country music. Each one of his songs has a story and characters. It’s an emotional ride while listing to his music.

Water Table Line is Daniel Young’s latest release. The song reminds me of the legendary Bob Dylan and his glory days of songwriting. It carries a plot, a storyline, and is a reminder for the people to lay down their troubles and pause to catch a breath. For the ones who find themselves lost on their journey, Daniel’s music is your medication.

Daniel Young is a master when it comes to making a song relatable. Water Table Line is a song that features some typical folk instruments. The song starts on a mellow acoustic guitar and the insane deep vocals of Daniel. The sliding notes on the pedal steel guitar is the heart of the song while the rising notes of the pedal steel make you feel as if you are coming home from a long journey. The lyrics are by far the best thing about the song, the message it carries is indefinable.

“Maybe let’s take a little time

Take some time and unwind

Enough of this runnin’ around

Try to get your feet on solid ground”

These lines are enough to maybe describe a little about the song. While to know everything the song has to offer you have to go and listen to it once.
