Fritz Kahn and The Miracles – Believe | Masterpiece

Fritz Kahn and The Miracles is a band named after Fritz Kahn AKA Gonçalo Serras. He was born in 1976 in Portugal, Gonçalo is a self-taught artist who learned to play guitar and harmonica. His music is a  perfect blend of Jazz and Folk music which reflects in his new Album “Jonah, The Whale”.

Believe is a single from the Album Jonah, The Whale. The song features a very simple flow of melody. It begins with a mellow pattern of chords on the piano. The brilliant vocals of Gonçalo thus begin singing the melancholic melody. The soft and subtle orchestral pieces, the amalgamation of Violas and violins, and the insane balladic piano are the work of the genius producer Tiago Machado.

The beautiful and emotional lyrics are the heart and soul of the song. Believe is a song that reminds one to fight against all odds and rise even in the darkest days.

I’ve got no place to go, I’ve got no place to leave

I’m sure I can make it, I just have to believe.

The depth these lines carry is another example of the genius Gonçalo Serras’s songwriting ability.

Believe is a song that has the feeling of a soundtrack of a movie from the 90s, its cinematic orchestral piece and mellow piano are just enough to portray the meaning of the song. Fritz Kahn and The Miracles have the ability to connect with their audience through the power of music. Believe is a song that should be on everyone’s playlist.
