Headrush is an ambitious solo project of instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Jack Warren. It started in his basement on the South Shore of Massachusetts in 2019. Taking inspiration from many rock and punk bands from the 90s and 2000s, Jack has created his own very own unique and modern indie rock sound. Headrush AKA Jack Warren is one of the best up-and-coming independent artist.
Headrush’s latest single “Blank Slate” is a song that has everything a modern rock fan is looking for. There’s so much going on in the song with all these different types of instruments and vocal layers, everything blends perfectly. The song starts with a fade-in of the overdrive electric guitar which is followed by percussions and a little riff on the guitar which is persistent throughout the whole song. Soon the drumbeat kicks in and lifts the song. The wide range of vocals and harmonies in the song showcases the talent of the artist. The bridge of the song has a very smooth transition, being a fast upbeat song the bridge has to come out loud and different from the original melody. Headrush has done excellent work by being able to differentiate the bridge from the rest of the song.
Blank Slate is a song that can be performed live and the crowd will go crazy. It can make people jump on their feet the second it starts playing. Headrush is justifying modern rock music with his incredible songwriting and producing skills.
