Angelo De Laurentis or Laurentis is a rapper, producer and singer-songwriter based in California. While Maijah is the shiny, sparkly singer and musician, raised by musicians. The two have put their skills together to create a track with Main Character Energy and believe me, that is exactly what the song is. KNOW MY NAME is a hard track with deep beats and insane dynamics. With influences from various R&B and Hip Hop artists, the two emulate it all. The harp sample at the beginning of the track is divine and sets the track up well. Laurentis starts the track off with a smooth verse and an even smoother transition to Maijah’s. The beat is so versatile with so many different percussive elements and a magnetic bass synth. Both Laurentis & Maijah are amazing lyricists with amazing lines that play off of each others’ energy with the exact same main character vibe.
The track is rather short, just spanning under 3 minutes, but it feels like such a great vibe. In fact, you could loop it and it transitions into itself with such ease that you wouldn’t even be able to tell. Laurentis has done such a great job with producing this track and rapping on it while Maijah has put in such a great performance with her brilliant vocals.
