L’Resorts is a Milwaukee-based pop band. On July 19, 2019, they launched their self-titled first album. In the spring of 2020, the band launched its second album. Vincent Kircher, renowned for indie rock band Jaill (Sub Pop, Burger Records, Infinity Cat), formed L’Resorts alongside Martha Cannon of Milwaukee’s Lady Cannon. Originally started as a one-time collaboration has grown into a seven-piece band with Austin Dutmer, the original Jaill drummer, and numerous other Milwaukee music community regulars.
Let’s take a minute to appreciate all that is good in the world, and all that is good in music. And let’s do it with the help of ‘The People You Meet’. One of many great songs from the Bad Love album by L’Resorts, ‘The People You Meet’ encapsulates everything we love about this band: the catchy quirkiness, the relatable lyrics, and the fun music.
This song will make you vibe, but it will also make you think about your relationships. The singers contemplate each other’s love ties through outlandish scenarios. Such as losing one’s head or growing extra teeth, which is goofy and funny. This is a soulful track with a catchy chorus and beats that will be stuck in your head long after you listen to it. And don’t even get us started on those smooth vocals. Enchanting! It feels like you are on a train journey, watching life go by as you sit in your cabin window while sipping your coffee. By the end of the song you end up vibing to “It‘s not the world, it’s the people you meet.”
