Nightingale – Vermillion | Sunset

Nightingale is Melbourne based music producer as well as singer-songwriter Esmond Angeles’ solo electronic project. Inspired by the sounds of Flume, Rufus Du Sol and SBTRKT, Esmond’s music resonates elements of all these artists throughout his music. His shot to fame was when he remixed Doolie’s ‘Only for a Night’ and released on renowned Australian label ‘ETCETC’. When he featured his own vocals on the cover, the positive feedback inspired him to continue using his own voice. His latest ‘Vermillion’ with his vocals is the perfect music for a sundowner.

Vermillion is a real chill electronic track and is Nightingale’s latest single. A very nice intro featuring his own vocals, a snare and crashes. As the keys and pads slowly slither in, the track starts to take shape. Now without the vocals, Nightingale is setting the vibe for the track. Following the crescendo, all the elements collide. The vocals, percussions, pads and keys are in perfect harmony with a new kick drum driving the track forward. The vocals are really well done with not only really good effects but also sounds really good. Esmond is a jack of all trades and is a completely independent producer that does not really require any other collaborations to finish a song. A very useful skill in today’s rat race in the music industry.

Vermillion has a really nice chorus that sticks to your head and creates the exact vibe that vermillion during a sundowner bring out! Give it a listen
