Michael Phase was born in The Bronx, New York, a culturally diverse neighborhood. His music style is also influenced by this diversity and culture. Phase was introduced to Dance music through an arcade game known as ‘Dance Dance Revolution’. From here, he started exploring and experimenting genres until one day a friend gifted him FL studio. This was a turning point in his life as he started working towards his dream and by 2015, he started releasing music and was even featured on the 265th episode of ‘Hardwell on Air’
“Energy” is aptly named and is filled to the brim with energy. The track starts off with some really nice vocals with lyrics that start to build up the adrenaline. Accompanied by some risers and a drum loop crescendo that just bubbles this adrenaline, making it impossible for you to sit down. And them boom! The French core drop just throws you off balance and pumps you up to just do something. It’s the kind of music that you can do whatever to and you look like you’re grooving to. The second drop is more melody oriented and moves around. If the drops were the same, it would have been a really boring track but Phase shows us why he is a successful professional today.
A power packed single befitting his rise to success in such a short span. Give it a listen!
