Temperature Falls – Apology | Hard-hitting Indietronica

If you’re searching for new artists who approach genres in new ways and don’t conform to familiar structures or arrangements, then the music of Temperature Falls is for you. The Norwegian Indietronica/Alternative duo are known for their psychedelia-infused hip-hop and rock compositions that are a breath of fresh air in the crowded alternative music scene. They recently came out with their first single of the year ‘Apology’, a follow up to their well-received 2021 album ‘Nobody to Believe in Anymore’.

Among somewhat dark and hypnotic textures, a tight drum beat kicks off ‘Apology’ and introduces Camila’s verse. The song speaks to the empty promises that are sometimes made in relationships, which can ultimately lead to apologies that do little to change anything. Her passionate performance here, paired with her unique vocal tone really emphasize the impact of the lyrics. As Camila continues reminiscing about her past experiences, her electronically-enhanced vocals are supported by gritty guitars and a deep bass in the hard-hitting chorus; an exquisite blend of hard rock and indietronica.

Like a fever/Cough this evil out/I’m a dreamer/Please hear me shout” – The harsh instrumentation and headbanging rhythms create a feeling of pain and suffering that is all too relatable for some people. I think the authenticity with which Temperature Falls has composed and performed this song is what makes it so beautiful. When it comes to studying the ‘dark’ side of relationships, it can be frustrating and emotionally draining; however, the duo transforms that frustration and emotion into motivational and moving music, and that’s what sets them apart from the crowd.
