TÎMMY the FIRST-Throne | Claim your spot

If the throne was up for grabs, there’s competition. Ever since Jay-Z claimed it after the gangster rap era, Kendrick Lamar seems to be the next generation of rappers. TÎMMY the FIRST would like to keep the spot open, with a challenging catchy number called Throne. It is his first single and a perfect one to close the year out with.

Throne explores several layers of instrumentality that many rappers aren’t comfortable with. Lyrically poignant and conclusive, his tracks post verses that induce thought. Having spent obviously several hours polishing it(or being ridiculously gifted), TÎMMY the FIRST has gotten one step closer to his dream. The New Zealand native has explored the world music scene thoroughly before settling on what he’s comfortable with, and that’s what is necessary in the industry right now. You really cannot predict who has an edge in music, and commercial success is barely a marker. Songs like these try to connect to the listener themselves, and musicians alike will like this infectious track.

Keeping on your toes isn’t easy. He might make it look like it is, but there are pockets between verses that have just enough glitter. He’s been opening for several artists like Savage, JessB & CHAII, so we know it’s a path realised. We can’t wait for more of his music after this solid trailer.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
