Physco – Mister Rainmaker | Classic Rock

Cincinnati-based alt-rock group Physco has been putting out appealing rock and roll music since 2016 and recently came out with an upbeat track called ‘Mister Rainmaker’. By combining the infectious elements of arena rock with the classic 90s and 00s sound, Physco shares engaging stories about life, mental health and even religion through their songs in their own creative style. Their latest track plays as an orchestral composition with raw instrumentation that’s both intimate and hard-hitting – a fantastic blend of guitar-driven melodies and lively rhythms.

The track begins with an upbeat piano progression that plays on to accompany vocalist Joey Loebker. Imagine Elton John on the keys for this one; reminiscent of classic pop from a few decades ago, but with the band modern touch! “There is a man upon that hill / He’s living his life completely soundless / Nobody knows him but they will / Proceed to explain every detail about him” – Joey seems to be singing about a character dealing with loneliness and the journey it takes to overcome it. His unique vocal tone and powerful performance are well accompanied by lush strings, harmonies and a few guitar riffs as the track progresses.

As the energetic drum rhythm kicks in during the chorus, ‘Mister Rainmaker’ becomes more vibrant and a whole lot groovy, owing to the smooth riffs and transitions. The three-minute-long track follows a familiar rock structure that will surely resonate with people who enjoy listening to the genre. Physco continues to add quality rock songs to their discography, keeping that classic vibe alive, and I’m sure the fans are eager to hear more from them soon!
