Young God Blow (AKA Joseph Anthony Guzman) is an up and coming, New York-based rapper. Having cited artists like Tyler, The Creator; toby liu; and Ski Mask the Slump God as some of his inspirations, Young God Blow creates music that blends these artists uniquely. Guzman has a brilliant flow and ear for music, creating songs with extremely hard bars.
SUMMER ’16 has an extremely catchy hook that talks about things from Summer in 2016. The instrumental has some pretty solid beats. The 808s really drive the heart of the song, with the insane depth it adds. I find that DAM3, Kemkooley and Young God Blow have done a brilliant job on this collaboration. The harmonies in the instrumental give you this nice little feeling that I can’t really describe, but you’ll get when you listen to SUMMER ’16. With many references, double entendres, Guzman and Kemkooley do a brilliant job rapping over a killer instrumental line. This collaboration gives me the same feeling I get when I listen to some Old-School beats with solid artists too. These guys absolutely killed every aspect of the track. There seems to be an understanding among the three that helps them work harmoniously as well.
I absolutely dig SUMMER ’16. It’s the kind of track that will get you grooving as well as chilling. Either way, I highly recommend the track as well as Young God Blow, DAM3 and Kemkooley. If you want to hear some great rap, this trio and SUMMER ’16 is for you!
