The Kindly Ravens – Bittersweet Lie | Seasons and Life

In their new track “Bittersweet Lie,” The Kindly Ravens discuss some intriguing aspects of life using analogies to seasons. Cassi Marie and Steve Boom, based in Brisbane, have founded The Kindly Ravens. Their distinctive sound elements from Americana, alt country, folk, and country music are reflected strongly in their new song “Bittersweet Lie.” The tone is upbeat, and the song structure allows for plenty of breathing room for listeners to fully immerse themselves in the song and fully appreciate the words. The lines are optimistically phrased, and the intelligent analogies create brilliant visions, which are further enhanced by the vibrant strum of the guitars.

From the beginning, the violin fiddles set the tone for the song. The arrangement is kept simple but effective, complementing the lyrics well. Throughout, the tone is kept light and steady. Steve’s vocals add so much to the chorus that they reverberate long after the song has ended. The chorus’ usage of the term Bittersweet lie is particularly catchy. The songwriting is superb, and it will strike a chord with listeners right away; the tune is fundamentally excellent and fresh. “Bittersweet Lie,” a new song by The Kindly Ravens, seems promising and will calm listeners of all genres.
