Miss Elm – Pippi Long | Graceful

Most people associate ukuleles with beach songs that have a feel-good vibe, but in Miss Elm’s latest single, the instrument is showcased in a unique and inspiring way. In the beautifully composed song, ‘Pippi Long,’ the singer-songwriter describes an emotional story about life through dreamy vocals and soothing melodies. Known best for her releases, ‘Yin and Yang’ and ‘Love Inside’, the artist fuses multiple genres to create her signature sound.

The ukulele-driven track shares a message about reaching out and nurturing your inner child. Miss Elm’s flawless vocal delivery coveys the heartfelt lyrics to ‘Pippi Long’ in a truly captivating way. The soothing acoustics paired with the soft drum rhythm creates an atmosphere of optimism and hope that support the narrative incredibly well.  – Oh there’s magic in your eyes / Don’t know if it’s bad or nice / Oh you’ve travelled far and wide / To find your truth inside.”

This track’s masterful production, featuring a few subtle filler elements and moving melodies, makes it an engaging listening experience. Miss Elm’s flawless vocals are surely the highlight of ‘Pippi Long’ and they shine through exquisitely!

Since 2011, Miss Elm has released a collection of singles and a few EP’s that showcase multiple genres and I must say, she’s a master of all trades! In her latest release she reminds us how important it is to cherish the beauty of the Earth, and the responsibility we have to protect it. It’s one of those tracks that’s actually moving yet still cheerful, so do give it a listen!
