After years as a cover and background artist, Gabi Rose a.k.a known for her discography as Enrose makes the decision of writing and releasing original tracks — and aren’t we glad that she did.
Starting out only this year with her originals, Rose has already released three tracks and now updates her discography with the release of Feels Like Home. Rose’s latest track confirms that the determinant of a great track is not in its flamboyant instrumentation or over-the-top vocal tricks, but in the creation of something that is honest, truthful and optimistic. To that end, Feels Like Home becomes the ideal track to consider.
The track is decorated with arguably the best melodic and vocal performances by Gabi Rose, and the piano compliments the mellow downtempo groove that the track introspects itself into. Thematically, Feels Like Home appears to be about the pursuit of familiarity amongst the greater unknown, and ultimately finding a place for oneself to shrink back into when faced when adversity.
With the oncoming winter, the track ushers in an air of loneliness and hopefulness at once, wrapping the listener up into a spiral of solace.
