The Hilder are a four-piece, Indie band based in Yorkshire. They have a very lively Indie Rock and Pop vibe about their music that is definitely heard in all their music. With little experience, the quartet aims to push the boundaries of what is possible for a band from a small and relatively unknown seaside town. With two singles under their belt, The Hilder is focusing on getting better and getting gigging in 2022.
Give It Time is a fast-paced track that is very reminiscent of the early 2000s Pop Rock scene. While their sound is pretty unique, you can hear elements that are very distinctly Pop Rock. The synthesiser has a brilliant riff that plays every now and then, allowing more room in the mix for the all-important rhythm section. The drums are hard-hitting, while the bass line drives the whole track forward. With that said, the drums seem to have this hypnotic rhythm that really enchants the listener. The vocals cut through the mix cleanly with some background vocalisations to highlight and compliment them. Give It Time has a very different vibe from their previous single, Lost On You, but somehow has a sense of familiarity around it.
The Hilder has started out pretty well. I can see them rising through the ranks pretty soon with more listeners. The music is cohesive and keeps you going through the day. It sure as heck helps set the tone for the day when you listen to it in the morning.
