Invisible Friends – Better | futuristic/feel-good

Invisible Friends is an electronica-pop, hybrid of Jay Jensen’s dance-ready rhythms and Kevin Hogg’s signature powerhouse vocals form arrangements that borrow bits of EDM, alternative, rock, and even modern pop anthems. Better by Invisible Friends is brought together by a driving bass, and choral anthem about getting better. The addition of synths helps to create a unique sound, labelled as ‘future pop’.

Invisible Friends creates a really futuristic vibe with Better while staying true to its pop harmonies and vocals. There is something very raw that the harmonies bring across. Once you start listening to Better, you immediately start grooving to it and get swayed by the well-crafted positive vibes that get translated to you through their music. I think the vocals are my favorite part of the song. In addition to the positive vibe that the song brings, one can’t ignore the fact that the song is trippy. The drum track is very hypnotic.

Invisible Friends seem to get their inspiration from early 2000s electronic pop, but put a modern spin on it. Receiving staggering TikTok figures closing in on 10 million views and totaling over 40k followers across their socials, Invisible Friends is definitely making their mark on the music industry. Their futuristic electronica is incredibly immersive and interesting. The song will definitely make you feel the way it says – Better.

Better by Invisible Friends reminds me of Ellie Goulding, Ariana Grande and Twenty One Pilots.
