Am3r3 – Falling Out Of Love | Hip-Pop

Experimental hip-hop artist Am3r3, known for fusing genres to create his dark signature sound, recently released a hip-pop track (as he calls it), titled, “Falling Out Of Love”. This is the fourth release by the Toronto-based producer since his debut in 2020, and his music is very versatile, combining elements from EDM, glitch, and psychedelia into his productions.

There’s a significant amount of processing on the vocals right from the start of the 4:21 minute-long track and he sticks to this distinct style throughout. His free and spaced-out vocal delivery compliments the title of the song, evoking a feeling most of us can easily relate to. Initially, a simple beat progression along with deep sustained synths form the soundstage of the track. As it progresses, wide arpeggios combine with the rhythmic elements creating a fuller sound that’s both gloomy and intriguing.

The beauty of Am3r3’s production style lies in the fact that you can never predict what will happen next. Though the hook line is very repetitive, it presents itself with a different instrumentation to accompany it every time. Additionally, distorted elements aid to that frustrated feeling the track evokes along with the intricate automation on the elements that shine through towards the end.

“Falling Out Of Love”, I think, is a song someone going through heartbreak could relate to pretty well. Am3r3 has a knack for translating emotions through his unique blend of sounds and that’s what makes this particular song special. His earlier releases, “So Dior” and “Ode To Day Dreaming” are more upbeat and feature an eclectic mix of various genres. Also included with this release is an instrumental version of the same, so make sure to check that out as well!
