Lorensa is an Israeli-born, LA based musician who is using her music to deliver beautiful, artistic pieces. “Strangers Instead” is her second single of 2021. This song is a perfect combination of an R&B Pop style. The song traverses the journey from strangers to lovers and back to strangers. If you’re going through a break-up but also want to dance the feelings out of your system – Strangers instead is the song for you!
Lorensa does a great job with her seductive vocals that remind me of Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande and Maroon 5. There is something so quintessentially pop about the song that I now hope to hear it on the radio soon. “Strangers Instead” can totally be the soundtrack to your Disney Original climax moment. The 14-year-old in me is pleased to have discovered this one, for sure!
The song has all the components of what makes a good pop song. It uses a peppy percussion along with a carefully crafted harmonies and instrumentals. The vocal delivery in the song is both appealing and seductive. The track’s harmonies combined with the existing layers make it an addictive track that you’ll want to keep playing on repeat. I think the bridge of the song is my favorite part of it. The music strips and fades away to only reveal Lorensa’s vocals, like sunlight through clouds.
Lorensa has huge potential to be the next big pop star. I look forward to more music from her.
