In their latest collaborative effort with debutant musician Olivia Barchard, Everything but the Everything updates their discography with the release of their latest pop rock anthem Blue Sun.
The track is one of the latest from the group, presenting the musical efforts of the act at their most redefined and remastered selves. If one is craving some of the early 2001 pop rock extravaganza akin to the sounds of The Strokes, and later music tributaries like The Libertines and early The Vaccines, Everything but the Everything should be one of the groups on your melodic radar.
Quintessentially comprising each element that is necessary to qualify a track as a definitive banger, Blue Sun is replete with the pentatonic electric guitar riffs, the Fabrizio Moretti drum machine percussive characteristics, incredibly immersive synth pop hype and eighties sounding vocal performances. Blue Sun is reminiscent of the liveliness of music and adolescence, enough to provide the listener with a tap and jump in their step and slightly make their day better under the sun. Already a ton of singles under their radar, perhaps the time is ripe for Everything but the Everything to release a lengthier project. We are here for that evolution, and you should be too.
