Pattern Pusher – Happy Place

Happy Place is the latest track from Pattern Pusher, and it leverages the nostalgic disco time beat to transport you to a gleeful time. The UK-based retro-pop band has a Bruno Mars type upbeat quality, and their ‘90s rock’n’roll gets you grooving immediately.

Pattern Pusher comprises of three members. Alex Johnstone is the vocal frontman and the genius on the keyboard, Benny G is going wild on the bass, and then there is Benny C keeping the drums banging with his magic. The trio has received a tonne of accolades from reputed publications ranging from BBC to NME to GQ magazine! Their live shows are electric, as seen in their performances in festivals like Bearded Theory and Beautiful Days.

The song Happy Place opens with a Cajon-like beat, and then Johnstone’s distinct vocals join in. As the pre-chorus rolls in, the song is trippy happy and you can’t help but shake a little. The melodious tone has that retro feel that keeps the track slick and super danceable.

The lyrics make it clear if the music didn’t do it for you: the singer is on a trip to his happy place. He is also probably high, but he’s been in this sweet escape for a few days. He’s done with his nine-to-five and wants to keep rocking here. Care to join?
