“Red Ferrari” is the latest out of the three singles Newcastle-based artist, Chintzy Stetson has released in 2021. At first glance, the track presents itself as very eccentric, the mix of instruments and unique samples used combine very well in “Red Ferrari” and make it an interesting listening experience.
The track starts with groovy drums and some synthesised vocal samples. Chintzy then introduce a blues guitar that leads into a cluttered space with soft vocals and a sub-dominant bass in the background. The chorus consists of a beautiful combination of vocal harmonies and an unexpected horns section which goes well with the guitar. All together, it sounds like a chill summer song.
The second half of the track features a saxophone solo that you will want to listen to over and over again. The performance is very well executed and flows into the final chorus quite seamlessly. Chintzy Stetson sounds a bit like Robert Plant in some sections and his lyrics on this track are also worthy of some extra attention.
Conclusion
This song has an immense potential to reach a bigger audience because of the way it’s composed and produced, Chintzy is a brilliant artist, I must say. There are many parts of the track that might remind you of The 1975! Though the mixing and, the intelligibility of the vocals in this track could be better, I’ve still become a fan and can’t wait to hear more!
