Beautiful Bridge is singer-songwriter Christina Jones’ third single, a gentle climb to her album ‘You Were My Compass’. She has an operatic voice that towers over the harmonious piano and strings, making it feel rather angelic. The track itself is allegorical to burning bridges, except on this side of the bridge, Jones appreciates the bridge itself and mulls over the joys of that interconnection. She sings a melody full of yearning, one that comes with losing someone she was unprepared to lose. Hoping to cross said bridge again, she calls out for them to return and end her suffering. Jones’ loss and the various phases she goes through in dealing with them to find her strength again seem to be what the album embodies, but I can only wait to find out.
