Los Aviones (the aeroplanes) is the latest single release from Venezuelan indie synth-pop artist José Hoek. Following his recent album release – Trémolo Park, Hoek has worked on perfecting the blend of electronic synth pop in concord with an 80s style Latin beats pop-rock. Los Aviones is no different even though it is full of melancholy prose – it presents itself as a groovy synth-pop number that you could sway to, yet full of unpredictable tempo. A track about yearning and loss following the collapse of a satisfying relationship, Hoek has a unique voice and style that is fusion music in more ways than one.
