Abyss is a cinematic piano and strings piece from instrumentalist and producer Shayne Chafa. It is rich and energetic in its harmonies, as it presents a lucid and frenzied search for some meaning. The song reminds of an internal panic, which starts off with an increasingly feverish range of emotions and feelings until it reaches a pinnacle and crescendoes. Chafa demonstrates incredible musical prowess, especially with the incredible violin-work, as the track is so minimal yet so powerful in what it is able to evoke.
